are classes beginner-friendly?

All classes will be beginner-friendly. Expect lots of variations for poses and options for more of a challenge.

should I bring a mat?

Please bring your own mat to class. If you don’t have one at any point, drop me a message.

what should I wear?

Comfy clothes that don’t restrict your movement, usually gym stuff (leggings, joggers, etc). That being said, wear anything you want.

is yoga fitness?

Yoga is an ancient discipline used to join body and mind- there’s a lot of philosophy that shapes the practice, which is why we often stress that it isn’t just exercise. All classes will include pranayama (breath work) and meditative practices. However, yoga is beneficial for the body: it improves flexibility, strengthens muscles and promotes ease of movement. Sometimes it does get sweaty. So although yoga is much more than fitness, it could certainly count as a workout.
